How Ramps Improved Shirley’s Quality of Life
We met Shirley, beautiful and 86 years young, when her husband Steve contacted Northeast Mobility Center concerned about his wife’s quality of life. Shirley had recently become homebound after using a wheelchair due to her progressing Parkinson’s symptoms.
During our home evaluation, Shirley conceded that more than anything, she would love to tend to her flower garden again. She took so much pride in her exquisite zinnias.
After meeting with Shirley and her husband, Northeast Mobility Center designed a ramp with access to the patio so that Shirley could get herself outside to her flowers. Now Shirley’s quality of life is as bright as her zinnias!
